Spooky the paper plate cat

12 Crafts For Kids Using Paper Plates - Bored Art:

Items needed to make spooky the cat : paper plate, Crayola washable black paint , paint brush, black marker, glue, tooth picks, Wiggle eyes and fuzzy nose

Everyone knows that witches always have an adorable sidekick named Spooky the cat. This is one art project children of all ages will enjoy making!

4 simple cutting steps : take your plate and cut your plate into five pieces

  1. cut the moon shape
  2. cut the circle for the cats head
  3. cut two triangles for the pointed ears
  4. cut the curve of the tail

Once all of the cutting has been done have the children use the crayola paint to cover all five parts of the cat. That way all the parts of the cat can be drying before they glue the pieces together.

Step 1:Have the children glue the two triangles to the backside of the circle of the cats head, Step 2: have them glue the circle with the ears to the top of the plate(whichever way the child would prefer the cat to be facing), Step 3: glue the tail to the opposite side.Once they have the body of the cat glued together they are able to create the spooky face of the cat. Step 4:use the marker to make the mouth of the cat Step 5: glue the toothpicks, wiggle eyes and nose on

We hope you love spooky the cat as much as we do!
