Daycare Lockers

If you are starting a daycare or upgrading your existing childcare center, you need childrens clothing storage and lockers for their jackets, backpacks, and sometimes shoes. Place them at the entrance to each room so the kids don't forget stuff on their way out. Some of these storage furniture units have benches so the kids can sit to put on their shoes or coats before exiting the room. Try our quality lockers from Whitney Brothers.

Help Kids Recognize Patterns

In addition to making sure that your children are able to use patterns books, it's also a good idea to pick up some fun games that help them learn how a pattern works. For example, many games use fun shapes, like large paper clips, monkeys or blocks to encourage children to group like colors and shapes together. Stickers are another way to help them see similar patterns between shapes, and these can even be used inside of their books, as well. Pattern comprehension games get more complicated as you go up in grade level, so make sure you are checking the age group on the one that you're interested in.

The patterns books that we offer are geared towards children who are in elementary school. They start at an easy to comprehend level that's perfect for kindergarteners, and they slowly progress in difficulty so that they are suitable for older students, up to the fourth grade. We're sure that you'll be able to find a book set that's perfect for your classroom's needs. You may even want to have your children practice making their own patterns that they can exchange with each other, so make sure you check out some of the cut out templates we offer, too!

Math Test Preparation

In addition to teaching children how to perform basic math functions with whole numbers, they should also be taught how to work with fractions and decimal points, as well. Math test preparation books are an excellent way to simplify multiplication, division, addition and subtraction using fractions so that the equations don't look as daunting when the test day approaches. Although many of the books that are available for purchase have areas where children can work out the problems directly, it's generally a good idea to have them practice for their test on a separate sheet of paper. This will make sure that they are able to get the maximum benefit from their practice booklets because they can redo any equations and questions that are causing them difficulty.

It is always important to remember that math test preparation is only a small part of the equation. Children should also be taught how to approach basic troubleshooting in all aspects of mathematics so that they can solve problems that don't follow standard formulas. Fortunately, there are math books that can help make this process easier. Combined with comprehensive preparation activities, this can ensure that your students do well on every test that they have to take, in your classroom and in the future.
