Make and Decorate Your Own Race Car!
What You Need:
Buttons (1” and ½” recommended sizes)
Craft Wire
Paper Straws
Washi Tape (optional)
Hot Glue (optional)
Scissors
1.Cut one 1” piece and one ½” piece from a paper straw.
2.Cut two pieces of craft wire. Each piece of wire should be 6”-8” in length.

3.Thread one piece of craft wire through two holes on a 1”
button and twist the ends of the wire to firmly attach the wire to the button.
4.Thread both ends of the same piece of craft wire through a paper straw
and then through two holes on the second 1” button. Twist the wire around that second button to
secure your second wheel. Trim any excess wire, and push the end of the wire
back through the button hole. Cover wire with colored Washi tape if desired.
5. Repeat these steps with your ½” straw and two ½” buttons to
make your second set of wheels.
6.Decorate your clothespin with paint or Washi tape.
7.Open up the mouth of your clothespin and set the smaller
set of wheels inside so that the mouth grips the middle of the paper straw.
Then slide the larger set of wheels into the back end of the clothespin.
8.Use hot glue to secure the back set of wheels if desired.
Make and Decorate Your Own Skateboard!
What You Need:
Toilet Paper/Paper Towel Rolls
Scissors
Cardboard
Glue or Stapler
Pencil or Pen
Markers, Stickers, Glitter, etc. (for decorating)
Skateboard Template
1.To make your skateboard wheels, cut a cardboard roll into
four 1 ½” smaller rolls.
2.On your piece of cardboard, draw the outline of a
skateboard or trace one using a template.
3.Decorate one side of your board using stickers, markers, or any
other embellishments you would like.
4. Now flip your board over and glue or staple two wheels
onto each end of the board.
5. Let your skateboard sit upside down and dry. Then flip it right-side up, and voila! You
have just custom-made your own skateboard!
