Special Needs Resources for your Daycare or School

One of the most challenging things a childcare center may experience is the addition of a special needs child. Not only do children with special needs require a different approach than most children, but there are also many different types of special needs that may be encountered at a daycare or preschool. We offer a number of products that are designed to prepare and help you in educating and caring for children with special needs.

One of our best products is the Understanding Special Education Resource Book. This wonderful book provides overviews of 16 different forms of special needs including autism, dyslexia, and emotional disorders. It is perfect for getting a grasp on just what challenges your special needs student will face and ways to help them. It also contains up to date resources that include web sites and phone numbers of organizations that may provide further information.

We also offer an assortment of more specialized resources. For instance, our books on teaching children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. Our tactile toys and learning materials are also great for special needs children. They are perfect for play time with Autistic children and those with Down Syndrome, because they encourage the development of sensory and fine motor skills.

Another great resource is our wide selection geared towards teaching sign language. Our sign language guides, flash cards and more will have your little ones signing in no time at all!
